Once you figure out how to attach it to the lead (took me a while to figure out as instructions aren't clear) it's really good and comfortable. I wanted it as a little extra security as my husky loves to run and pull so it's incase I loose my grip.

    The strap arrived today, so decided to use it tonight. Tested the strap at home and was releaved to see it held firm. During the walk a cat run out and caught me unaware, dog pulled the leash clean out of my hand, the NEW strap was still attached to my wrist but not to leash….

    The dog had broken free on a busy street – fortunately he responded to verbal command… this could have been a tragedy!!!

    A must extra for retractable leads

    This is a great idea. You fix it onto the handle of a retractable dog lead and fits around your wrist therefore if you let go of the handle the lead is attached to your wrist therefore preventing your dog to run off. The strap is fastened by Velcro. I would recommend the product for the safety aspect as previously the large plastic handle from the retractable lead has slipped from my hand accidentally and my dog could run away but I’ve stamped my foot in the lead handle but no more it’s now secured on my wrist
