Permanent stop at the desired length: push the stop-button down and forward; to unlock the lead push the button back in the opposite direction and release it.

To recall the dog: when the stop-button is released, move quickly your hand in the dog’s direction; push the stop-button down and pull the lead towards you; then release the button and repeat the operation to reach the desired length.

How to use Amigo dog leads safely.

1. Amigo leads must be used by responsible persons who have familiarity with the dog, are able to control and supervise him. This allows a quick reaction to dangerous situations.

Amigo is not suitable for children.

2. Choose the best lead for your dog on the basis of the size of your animal. It is advisable not to use Amigo leads with dogs who are particularly difficult to control.

3. Beware any pulls that could arise when the dog starts to run, especially if you arrive at the full swing of the leash.

4. Keep Amigo firmly by the handle.

5. Fasten the lead hook to a strong collar. The collar must be suitable for your dog’s size, in good conditions and equipped with a closed ring.

6. Never catch the lead with the hands and do not wind it up around your body since you can wound yourself.

7. Make certain that the cord/tape is not damaged or worn-out. Do not use the lead in this case.

9. In the event that the cord should recoil suddenly, push the stop-button immediately down and avert your face: you are in danger of hurting yourself!

10. Amigo leads must be used only by hands and cannot be fi xed to a steady hold.

Easy maintenance

1. If the cord/tape gets dirty, uncoil it, push the stop-button permanent down, wash the cord/tape using water and mild soap and let it dry before recoiling it.

2. If the cord/tape gets wet (in case of rain, humidity, puddles, etc.), unwind the lead and wait till it is completely dry (at room temperature) before rewinding and using it. Failure to follow these steps could result in the lead temporary jamming until all the components are completely dry. The internal mechanism of the lead is not insured if water is present.

3. Make sure that sand, soil or dirt do not enter into the rectractable lead, inside the control button or inside the cord-tape way out hole. This may compromise the performance or result in the product failing to work.

4. Do not open the lead case: you are in danger of hurting yourself with the compressed spring.
