It was good until it broke
Rubbish now it's broken. I have a working cocker spaniel 6 months and the lead has broken at the metal connection. She pulls on the lead occasionally for a sniff and it broke. Not great when your next to a busy road and still need to walk home.

100% improvement compared to cheap slip leads. When positioning the lead at the top of the neck and using the rubber ring it keeps it in place at all times. The material and connections are high quality and feel strong. I'm using this lead with a 4 month old pup (large dog 22kg) his attention to me while walking has increase 10X and handle and direction transmits down the lead every time perfectly. The length of the lead is right for the dog to walk happy along side without having to hold excessive amounts of lead length. It would be good to have a light reflective option in the line up of colours for those dark nights. I would suggest anyone using this lead to watch a tutorial on how to walk a dog using a slip lead if they have never used one before as handling a dog that is used to pulling hard on a harness or collar is more than likely going to present some initial challenges until the handler and animal adjust to it.
My dog has been on a slip lead from 9 weeks old. The previous lead was to thick (10mm) the material was stretchy so the instruction transmitted down the lead was intermittent and lacked accuracy. The lead kept slackening and the lead would slip down to the shoulder area which meant my pup would begin to pull and nose Infront of me while walking. With this field training lead he's now trotting along at the side me. I rated this lead 5 stars as it's made my walks enjoyable and easy to keep train my pup.

It is a proper slip lead, as in, it will slip open easily once the dog stops pulling (unlike many rope leads) because these have a metal inner so the lead can slip. It really needs a foam gripper on the handle.

I have taken on a rescue female Doberman 13 months and just after 2 days having clearly had no training previously is walking to heal so much better.
The key is the position high at the top of the neck and small pull ups when required.
Highly recommended it for getting your dog walking and not pulling and I have firm control with the main lead on her harness.
This lead is wonderful and all the trainers recommend it in training the walking to heal.

The quality or the cord was great, unfortunately the first lead was missing the plastic stop button entirely. Don't think this was a meant amd there was not platonic shrapnel in the packaging, not worth complaining about so just ordered an other one and it was fine

Don't use those silly harnesses that lets your dog think it's a husky, use this and your dog will walk to heel. You take your dog for a walk; bot the other way 'round.

Easily fits in your pocket on long walks to have as a backup or if you don't usually need a lead for your dog.
Unfortunately my dog unexpectedly lunged towards a ball while on this lead and I definitely realised how painful the thin rope is on my hand – can't have been nice for his neck.. Just to keep in mind.

It's well built for sure. The swivel has a tendency to be too heavy for my small Jack Russell-Chihuahua, but most importantly it's too short for someone who is 5'9 height for walking my dog
